Of all the Gaza solidarity encampments and occupations that students established in April 2024, one of the fiercest took place at Cal Poly Humboldt, where students took over a building, survived a massive police assault, and forced the police to retreat off campus.
When this text was written, the occupation at Cal Poly Humboldt had held its ground for a week, and local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies were amassing their forces for a massive raid.
